Effective this evening, January 25, 2026, Shaler Township has declared a state of disaster emergency due to the overwhelming amount of snow we received in our area. Our crews worked diligently to keep up with the snowfall and have been out salting and plowing since 10pm last night. Despite making every attempt to clear all streets, there are still many that are snow covered. In the interest of safety, we are asking our residents to stay home while we continue to work on snow removal throughout the Township. An update will be posted once available.
