Crawford Pool Bathhouse Update

Since the pool closed on Labor Day, there has been a great deal of excitement for a new pool bathhouse for the 2026 season. The day after the pool closed, Township staff removed and packed away all of the equipment, erected a temporary fence, and covered the pool in anticipation of the demolition of the pool house.  Demolition began a week after the pool closed and should be completed by the end of this week (9/26).

Township staff have been working with the architect and engineer to advertise the specifications for the new building. The specifications and bidding documents will be out to potential contractors by the end of this week. The bid opening is scheduled for October 28^th and the bids for the new building will be awarded that evening at a special meeting of the Board of Commissioners.

Our timeline will allow work to commence immediately upon signing of the contract documents. We are hoping for a mild winter so that construction can continue throughout the season and we can have a ribbon cutting ceremony on May 23, 2026.

We hope that you will be a part of this special occasion and consider purchasing a fundraising brick with your personalized name and message inscribed on the brick. These bricks will then be incorporated into the walkway of the new bathhouse.   All brick orders must be placed no later than January 31, 2026 so there is adequate lead time for ordering and placement for the grand opening.
