You can schedule your yard waste collection by calling County Hauling at 724-929-7694 Ext. 2, e-mail info@countyhauling.com or online at www.countyhauling.com by Wednesday at 3:00 PM before the pickup date to schedule yard waste collection. Please specify what type of service you are requesting when sending by e-mail. Please notify the customer service representative that you are a resident of Shaler Township and would like to schedule a yard waste collection.

🍂 Please use Biodegradable Paper bags only.  Biodegradable paper bags are available at cost at the Township Offices, Monday thru Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. Leaf bags are 60 cents per bag or $3 for a pack of 5 bags.

🍂 Yard waste includes: leaves, garden residue, shrubbery with no dirt attached, limbs, twigs, brush and tree trimmings, and similar items but does not include grass clippings or mulch.

🍂 Tree trimmings not to exceed 2 inches in diameter. Brush, limbs, twigs and shrubbery must be bundled in lengths not to exceed 4 feet.

🍂 Please do not place grass clippings in the bag as grass decomposes at a slower rate than leaves and usually contains potential toxins from fertilizers, pesticides and herbicides that do not compost well with leaf waste. Residents are encouraged to compost leaf waste on their property. For more information regarding leaf compost, please visit their website.
