[ARCHIVED] Shaler Township's Lite Up Night Information!

It’s Lite Up Night…”lite”ned up!

Santa’s elves have been hard at work putting together a holiday celebration for all to safely enjoy!

This outdoor only event will be held Saturday November 21 from 4-8 PM in the parking lots between Shaler North Hills Library and SASD Middle School.

This year we have two ice skating rinks to minimize lines and crowd sizes – as always skates are available at no charge.

Santa will be parading down Mt. Royal Blvd with his cast of characters and lighting the Christmas Tree at 5 PM.  To keep him ready for Christmas, he won’t be able to visit with everyone, but kids will still be able to take their photos with him at Santa’s Workshop (from 6 feet away). This year, we are encouraging kids (big and small) to write a letter to Santa and leave it in our special mailbox, so he’ll know exactly what’s on your wish list! Not sure what to write? Visit our website for a handy form letter to help you get started.

Other activities include a Holiday Scavenger Hunt, magic shows with Weird Eric, and dance parties with Miss Ing!

School groups and vendors will be selling refreshments, and Shaler North Hills Library will be selling s’mores.

We know things are different and it won’t be like a “normal” Lite Up Night, but we are looking forward to kicking off the Holiday Season and we hope to see you there! If you aren’t comfortable with attending this event, we understand and we hope to see you next year!
