Duquesne Light’s top priority is providing safe and reliable power to the region. As always, they are here to help you prepare for outages before they happen, so you can ensure safety within your community.
This week, they are anticipating high temperatures to hit the Duquesne Light service territory, and as such, they will be increasing their staffing similarly to how they would during a storm. Even in the absence of a storm, high heat in the summer can lead to increased stress on our electrical system. This stress may lead to outages in their service territory. To deal with anticipated weather and outages, they will be increasing staffing and adding extra shifts in all of their Field Operations work groups.
Duquesne Light only knows of outages that are reported. Customers who experience an outage should call 412-393-7100 to report their outage, or click on the “Report Outage” link on our website. In addition, be sure to follow their Facebook and Twitter pages, as they will post up-to-date alerts regarding outages in their service territory.
