The Shaler Township Police received a call of a black bear sighting in the area of East Hemlock Drive and Ponderosa Drive. The bear appears to be moving northwest toward Elfinwild Road Residents are advised to be aware and not approach the bear. The PA Game Commission states that when a bear senses a human, they usually continue moving away. See link below for more information from the Game Commission.
