Voter Information
Polling Sites
The Allegheny County Department of Administration, Elections Division, attempts to maintain consistent polling sites for each area of the Township. Registered voters should contact the Township a few weeks before the election inquiring as to when and where to vote for their elected officials. Voting is normally conducted from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on election day. If you are unsure of when and where you vote in Shaler Township, please feel free to call the Township offices at 412-486-9700.

Voter Requirements
To register to vote in Shaler Township, you must:
- Be a citizen of the United States for at least (1) one month before the next election.
- Be a legal resident of Shaler Township.
- Be at least 18 years old on or before the election date.
Registration
You can register to vote by picking up a registration form at the Township Municipal Building between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. You can also register online by going to the Allegheny County website. You must always re-register to vote if you have changed your name, address, or party affiliation.
Vote By Mail
If you have been confined due to an illness or physical disability for at least 60 days, you may request that a voter registration form be mailed to your place of confinement. To receive a form by mail or for more information, call the Allegheny County Department of Administration, Elections Division at 412-350-4500.
